This is very well-intentioned, but a stop sign is just a red-octagon sign instead of a yellow-diamond sign.
Signs don't stop cars, but concrete blocks, raised crosswalks, or curb extensions do.

I agree, but how do you reply to someone complaining about a missing bus stop without sounding completely heartless?
We need more (and better) bus lanes, an expansion of all-door boarding, and to remove duplicative bus stops in order to bring the MTA's bus system up to par with our peers across the Atlantic.

Even when NYC makes changes to its streets, it’s through the language of North American traffic control devices which are bright, distracting, and ultimately car-oriented.

But I am 100% sure he is a better human being and more fit to serve the residents of Northeast Queens than their current councilmember.
