QTP with an album you'd rate a perfect 10/10

Name a non-LOTR character who is a cool and good person but would nevertheless set land speed records for getting fucked up by the One Ring.
(You might think this is recursive trolling, but it's true.)

AADL put together a banging free anime con.
Downtown aa has a plethora of great shooting spots.
This is mother nature's answer
The number of contemporary Freerins standing under ledges and museums is impressive.

I feel bad for the cosplayers who were in The Arb.

3 - Castle Falkenstein

My first experience with high-fantasy steampunk.
My first Mike Pondsmith joint.
A vibrant world full of great ideas, life/culture details, and the ideas for a game fly off the page.

Also has Napoleon III as The Good Guy.
The one who created a police state.

2.3 - Anyway, peep those staring values.
You literally cannot have wings at the 'Normal' power level - ostensibly the average citizen.
Costs for playing specific heritages can get into the hundreds, meaning that an average Bat is not affordable to the High tier.

2 - Providence
The first game of the late 90's trend of MetaPlot Supplement Treadmill Slop.

It's full of Official Secrets We'll Reveal Later combined with one of the most pointlessly overly complex systems & character creation that means most players will be literal slaves in setting.

In honor of your fire response, we must invoke the ancient meme.

1 - GURPS Basic Set 3rd Edition.
The first time I remember noticing the 90's trend in game design where players pay for everything, are given nothing, and they should be grateful they even get XP.

The horrific Forever Non-Disparagement for Artists, Vendors, Exhibitors, Performers, etc.
It's not just the con, you can't say a bad thing *ever again* about the company behind AX.

Post a random picture or everything goes bad in August?

We could all use a better August, so have random.

You’ve inherited a movie theater, what’s your first double feature?

Blues Brothers (1980) and Raising Arizona (1987)

Awhile ago I was talking to someone about the Piloting Skill Roll required when you take 20+ damage in one turn in Classic Battletech, and how it was removed.
But lo, the FAQ at the end of the current manual spells it out.

Probably going to miss a funeral because of it.
TamiFlu, otoh, is fucking amazeballs.

Looking Glass had the same effect on me as Micropose - Introduced me to an entire genre I didn't know I loved.

But I fell off on the genre, until Dishonored brought me back in like a blindside check straight into the boards.

Bit of a Trucker's Gearshift, but the next is Ultima VII Pt II, which gave me legitimate feelings & sadness when an NPC died.
The first game to leveraging Lore from prior games - The titular serpent was something you'd fought in Ultima III & the consequences of that were the focus of this game.

Since my birthday is one of the 12 Days I'm in.
One title per series, those that shaped how I think about & Play games.

Start with Pirates! I spent Too Much of my life playing this.

Micropose was the master of Roguelike Sandboxes before the genre had a name. They were just "Micropose Games"

Kin Rise - The post apocalyptic setting for Nightlife, the first campaign I was involved in.

Why mini's grognards are constantly in a state of rage?
I got this Ral Partha AD&D branded Elemental Orange that's older than everyone in GW's marketing department that I haven't used since I painted a fire elemental when I was 9 to emulsify in seconds, then slapped it on a mini.

The challenge is to choose 20 games that greatly influenced you. One game per day, for 20 days. No explanations, no reviews, no particular order, just covers.
