🚨BREAKING🚨

MPs have voted to PASS our bill to establish a UK-EU customs union.

The Prime Minister must now listen to his own MPs, drop his self-imposed red lines and finally go for proper growth through an ambitious trade deal with the EU.

This year, we’re choosing hope 🌱

For our 2025 charity appeal, we've partnered with five charities to challenge division, hate, and despair. But we can't do it without you. Below, one of our readers shares why this support matters.

I’ve given up being surprised how much Boris Johnson gets paid. On the up side he won’t return to front line politics
There is sooo much wrong with the UK's media and politics.

Every child should be given the opportunity to thrive, yet thousands in London have faced poverty due to inequalities.

I’m pleased that the government is following up its decision to scrap the two-child benefit cap with a Child Poverty Strategy that will make a difference.

I know that the Express and the truth are at best distant cousins but this headline and story is clearly nonsense
This doesn’t even pass the laugh test, let alone the smell one. If you’re taken in by this, then you’re the type of person whose work colleagues regularly sends you to the shop for a tin of tartan paint and a long stand.

I think “ruined” is a bit strong
Can’t remember budget ‘case studies’ ever being quite so funny. Especially in newspapers that recently anointed Liz Truss a fiscal genius.
Wow - this guy must be really, REALLY bad with money if an extra £208 per month will “ruin” his retirement.

Let’s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

Because this does NOT add up!

No, this is not a “poor pensioner” scrabbling around for pennies…

There is a direct line between Donald Trump trying to destroy the BBC and him excusing the brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Trump hates the independent free press – whether in the US, Saudi Arabia or the UK. We will always defend it.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."
