Excited to share my latest work in @newphyt.bsky.social. Here, we used TurboID proximity labeling with CLAVATA receptors FEA3 and BAM1D in maize meristems to better understand the signaling pathways important for meristem regulation. #PlantScience
so proud of the Open Plant community group at Genspace, pictured here - after lots of trials, we have confirmed that we have transgenics expressing glargine! #PlantScience #DIYbio

Plant interactions with beneficial AM fungi are regulated by complex signaling pathways. The pseudokinase CORYNE negatively regulates the symbiosis by integrating plant responses to multiple abiotic and biotic cues - Orosz et al.

A little over a year ago, I co-directed a short film as part of the Symbiosis Film competition, called "No Two Plants". I was paired with a filmmaker and we had a week to make a short film. I also made the score for the film.

I'm sharing it here, please enjoy!

had a blast visiting @aribidopsis.bsky.social and Coralie at UBC! So nice to connect with other early career researchers in plant science 🌱
It was really wonderful for us to host @penlindsay.bsky.social Penelope today. One of the BEST Fridays from the lab to remember for a long time.

Thanks for making your time to visit us 🌽🔬😊

Yes, New College is incredibly inefficient but it also dropped 60(!) spots on the US News & World Report rankings. Not easy!
Everytime Chris Rufo is introduced as an impt voice in higher ed, remember that the one time he had a hand in running an institution has been a disaster.
Competence matters.
You'll be shocked to learn New College of Florida is on the brink of implosion just a couple of years after DeSantis engineered an extreme right-wing takeover

Fun fact: NCF's new overlords spend $134K per student (!!...the average at other FL publics is $10K) www.insidehighered.com/news/governa...
Spending Soars, Rankings Fall at New College of Florida
Student outcomes and rankings are slipping at the liberal arts college while spending is up. Critics believe the college is at risk of implosion, and some are calling for privatization.
