At this point there's really nothing new to say.

We've been doing this for years, it's aggressively clear. She's the world's most prominent transphobe. Engaging in Harry Potter as a franchise supports her. She has explicitly said that she views that support as approval of her views.
“J.K. Rowling has a right to express her personal views. We will remain focused on the development of the new series, which will only benefit from her involvement."

She does. But those views are harming trans people, and JK Rowling should face consequences for that.

Good morning! This is your reminder to support your local library! Get your card and see what resources you have access to from programs and events to seed libraries, maker spaces and digital resources. Libraries are more than *just* books. (Although books are very lovely!)

If you didn’t use TikTok much, you probably didn’t know that that’s where so many of the science educators and climate activists were meeting people where they’re at, sharing and informing, activating and building community.
Seeing my biggest platform destroyed, then watching many younger women in SciComm have *their* biggest platforms destroyed is weighing on me. I’ve rebuilt here. I know they can rebuild too. Having our delicate careers subject to billionaire whims has me wishing for a stability I don’t think exists.

Here's a small weird potentially good thing: The USPS website is still, as of a few minutes ago, processing requests under the free covid test program. No idea when that'll be shut down, but it hasn't been yet.
