Love live music, theme parks and film/TV. Based in London
Operation Mincemeat for the third time and finally in the stalls!
Seats are so much nicer but boy is this entire theatre tiny, getting around it is an experience

Ylvis would have been epic at MGP. Glad to see such a clear statement from them
🇳🇴 Ylvis, known for their song "The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)", intended to take part in Melodi Grand Prix 2026 but withdrew because of Israel's continued #Eurovision participation.

Ah well this maybe explains why Antti Paalanen started appearing on my tiktok feed before Christmas
🇫🇮 Yle has revealed the 7 artists and song titles participating in UMK26.

The competing songs will be released every weekday night at midnight, beginning tonight!

This is so cool. I knew he grew up in Bromley but it's kinda blowing my mind I used to walk past here on the way to school every day and didn't know.
David Bowie's childhood home at 4 Plaistow Grove, Bromley where he lived from age 8 to 20 & wrote Space Oddity has been acquired by the Heritage Trust of London. It will be returned to its early 1960's appearance & will eventually open to the public. 👇

I had a successful two show day at the theatre. First up was Ride the Cyclone at @swkplay.bsky.social - cast were amazing!

Then saw Christmas Carol Goes Wrong at the Apollo by the incredible Mischief Theatre. Very funny and worth checking out if you can still get a ticket.

I went to see KenRex again at @theotherpalace.bsky.social
I still absolutely love it, such fantastic storytelling and that soundtrack is very cool. If you get a chance to see it before it ends I highly recommend checking it out!

Had a fun evening at the @donmarwarehouse.bsky.social to see When We Are Married. A fun little comedy with a fantastic cast

"Oh, Mary!" was extremely funny, it's absurd, camp and unpredictable. Highly recommend!

1. The benefit of a theatre isn’t just screen size - it’s the intentionality, the curated environment, the communal experience.

2. If screen size didn’t matter people wouldn’t pay a shit ton extra to see movies in imax, at cosm, or the sphere

So, yesterday Eurovision made a decision to swap Spain, Ireland, Netherlands and Slovenia (and possibly Iceland and Belgium too) for one (1) Israel.

This begs the question, what next? I presume the EBU are hoping that they've taken a hit but now they can stem the bleeding. But can they?

Just got out of seeing KenRex @theotherpalace.bsky.social

Absolutely phenomenal show, the way Jack Holden flips between all the different characters is amazing. The live score by John Patrick Elliott is fantastic. The sound and lighting design is really clever.

Everyone should check this out!

My #SpotifyWrapped felt pretty bonkers but top artists and songs being split into rock/metal and Eurovision says a lot.
Laika Party and Puppy making the top songs is a bit embarrassing but they got me in the mood for Eurofest!

Does anyone have any fun recommendations for things to do in Edinburgh?

Pillion being set in the town I grew up in was a surreal experience. Alexander Skarsgärd hanging around Bromley high street feels weird, like Taylor Swift being at the Whitgift in Croydon weird

The hidden chemical attack that forced the Northern line’s extraordinary repair
Thirty years ago, an entire section of the Northern line had to be replaced because it was under attack from acid, and hardly anyone noticed that it was happening.

My third gig this month was French group Yelle who I've been listening to for nearly 20 years (this was their 20th anniversary tour). They absolutely blasted through so many of their songs with barely any breaks, a solid way to do an anniversary tour that kept the crowd going the whole time

Electric Callboy tonight were insane, they really know how to put on a great show. Lots of pyro, fantastic crowd and perfect audio mix makes for an incredible night.

I hope that guy found his shoe!

As always, Lord of the Lost were awesome! Love these guys so much

Always feels special when a gig's opening act instantly wins over the crowd, Julien-K was that band tonight. Gained a new fan here!

I went to see Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein at the epic BFI IMAX. It's a beautiful looking film, glad I saw it on the big screen rather than on Netflix

I can't believe I've finally seen Fyr Og Flamme live! I love their 80s vibe so much, thanks @eurofestuk.bsky.social
