Web dev, politics. Asperger's, Subarus, cats. Married. Returned to Oklahoma after living in Oregon for 15 years; not particularly happy about it.
As a web developer, my least favorite web feature is the website notification. Worse than popups, worse than chatbots... second least favorite is dynamic video injection, when JS runs to circumvent blocks on auto-run video, a feature of every shit news site. Looking at you, thehill.com.

Always thought it was weird that a dime is smaller than both the nickel and penny.

A big chunk of my debt in my thirties were for dentistry and car repairs. It doesn't take much if you don't make much.

So many podcasts have multi minute ad breaks, some host recorded, some dynamically injected. Advertising is a relentless monster pursuing you everywhere. Worse than any horror villain.

All this hunting for healthcare benefits to migrants and they find 197million since 2001 and they were all research grants, not ACA, not Medicaid.

The new Conjuring movie is sooooo slow with 15 seconds of decent spook.

I am less interested in who to blame for the shutdown and want to see less dysfunction. Stop doing these gotcha expirations and show some longer term planning. And fucking work with the opposition.

Let's stop flirting with fascism. It's not edgy or cool.

I love that FIFA is creating a peace prize to give to Trump. That man's vanity is astounding.

I find this kind of behavior tedious www.nytimes.com/2025/11/05/u... just negotiate with the opposition.

Ground News is a great service, but the iOS app doesn't do it justice. Also AI summaries are hit miss.

My opinions on the Bush era Neocons have softened. And it worries me the same thing will happen with Trumpets in 15 years.

Sales tax means it requires you to do a little multiplication to figure out how much something actually costs. I would rather pay municipal taxes through property taxes once a year. So you know exactly how much tax you're paying. Any one keep track of their sales taxes all year?

St Francis must have been busy last night. I live nearby and it was ambulances all evening. Also people just don't know what to do with ambulances. You get out of the way and stop until they pass. Come on.

I had never heard Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus. Well, I like it. Fun vocal delivery. I usually don't like piano ballads, but splashy drums always a plus.

Oklahoman here that doesn't vote for faith or family. Justice and the rule of law. Tired of the virtue signaling.

I feel like I need to register R in Oklahoma to have any say in our next governor. McCall is not OK. At least Drummond has done something I have agreed with in the past. I don't like any of them.

The WSJ has lots of takes on the job market never produce an insight I can use. Do I appear overqualified or play down my experience? It mostly communicates that high skilled workers should expect less to do and less compensation. This system is madness or I'm just not cut out for it.

I don't think the layoffs have anything to do with AI except in how the investments in AI are stealing from payrolls. It's not AI increasing productivity.
