Among the things social media has caused, it's the lack of realization of boundaries. Some thoughts are for the group chat, some are for Discord, some are just to be shared on the phone or in person with your friends, some are to be kept to yourself.

Not every single thought needs to be public.

Also posting this here for visibility and clarification: This wasn't a Canadian government form, it was in fact a medical screening form! And more than a few people have filled in the same form and likely got in the same result. Here's my in-depth explainer.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk. I was first published at the age of eleven and (like many) I sure know what it's like to have other people steal your ideas, but I promise you that's not my style. Across twenty years of writing and presenting I've never lacked my own ideas or material.
