Comics and a little bit of football if Arsenal win

Introduction…I’m an Eisner winning artist and writer, known for the independent noir comic book series STRAY BULLETS, that I cocreated with my partner Maria Lapham. In any medium, I believe in visual storytelling that can knock you on your ass.

Amazing!!!
AZRAEL! Finished. 9x12 con-style. This would be somewhere between a head-sketch and a torso. If anyone, noticed compared to yesterday, I had a highlight around the backside of the figure; but filled that all in black, as I realized the figure would hold fine without that highlight.

Superman appears in Action Comics
Batman appears in Detective Comics

So, really, when there’s a crossover between Superman and Batman it shouldn’t be “World’s Finest”, it should be AC/DC.

Currently reading the robin compendium. Some great Grant and Breyfogle stuff so far. Really hope we get a Second collection as I’d love to have the Mike Wieringo run.

I'm still a bit shaken up. I was involved in quite a violent mugging yesterday, but on the plus side I made a few quid...

Cleaned out the press under the stairs for the first time in over 10 years and found a few things including an original piece by Garry Erskine and some old annuals my wife got for me (second hand I haven’t been married since the 80’s 😂). Along with a few asterix books.

Currently reading. More 80’s DC and this one is a cracker.

Some recently read books. The transformers universe remains a lot of fun to read and I really enjoyed the new Hate stories but did feel slightly personally attacked by middle age Buddy listening to Hardcore history on the cover 😂

while I didn’t get into American comics until the 90’s I have read a lot of older book but teen titans was a blind spot for me. This was immense fun and I found myself looking forward to reading it every day. Really makes me want to pick up the Suicide squad collection now.
