Robert Eggers after building a 70 foot lighthouse in a remote part of Nova Scotia and then filming two intense actors under grueling conditions only to see me put Dirty Work higher on my list than The Lighthouse:

Green Arrow's chilli was a great success! Food photos on the Internet usually look bad, so trust me when I say it tasted great. Thank you to Oliver Queen & @scottmccullar.bsky.social.

Today, @jennylmorris.bsly.social is making Green Arrow's chilli (recipe by @scottmccullar.bsky.social). She's following the updated recipe from Scott's blog, with a few minor substitutions for ingredients not easily available in the UK.

Apparently it was inspired by this Fred Ray cover to Superman #16.

Just when I think I know everything there is to know about Superman, I learn that Vladimir Nabokov wrote a poem about him in 1942 that got rejected by the New Yorker.

This was great - while it plays with the concept of Deadpool's fourth wall breaking, it's basically a Grant Morrison Batman story where Wade is just along for the ride, which is absolutely fine with me! Taylor & Redondo's Nightwing/Laura Kinney story is fun too.

I would absolutely love it if Pierce Brosnan turned up again as Dr. Fate. If we can keep him, and Fonzie as the Atom, but ditch the rest of Black Adam that would be great.

This was fantastic. Ollie is written exactly how you'd want him to be written. It's such a huge improvement considering how poor this series was under the previous writer. And such a shame it's been cancelled, presumably because of people like me waiting for the trade. :(

I'm reading this and I'm really enjoying it, but for some reason the one thing that's too silly for me to handle in this novel about a man who fights crime while dressed in black rubber is the fact that Batman has built himself a van to drive around in.

Me: It's actually a good thing if not every comic book is aimed at me and it's exceedingly tedious when fans moan because something isn't exactly to their specific tastes.

Also me: This is the least tempting first issue of an Iron Man series that's ever existed and I am personally insulted.

Got the best film of 2025 in the post today! (Also the second best Superman film and the second best superhero film ever made)
