Will all Irish political parties be sharpening their use of, and focus on, Gaeilge in the wake of the presidential campaign? Language certainly appears to be a differentiating factor in Welsh elections:

Greenhouse gas emissions per capita. The broken grey line is the path required for 2030 targets. Ireland is miles wide of it. The nearest neighbours are crushing it.

European Union hopes to profit even more of occupied Western Sahara's natural resources.

Wouldn't it be easier if EU would also just plunder Ukraine with Russia?

@irishelection.bsky.social Just after discovering your website, which is excellent, but I do have one caveat - entered the last Ireland Thinks poll (Nov), and much as I'd love a Soc Dem TD in Kerry, rather unlikely from a standing start!

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

Our tap water is not as bad as it was when I posted this photo, but it still is not nearly clean. Half this city has been fed rust and manganese for years now, and we've been lied to about it. In any normal country this would be an emergency, but it's fine for the north side of Cork.
