NEW There's no overstating how significant the Nathan Gill case is. On Friday, the close associate of Nigel Farage was jailed for over 10 years for taking bribes ultimately from a friend of Putin. It's a complex, detail-heavy story that raises questions about Farage’s claim Gill was ‘one bad apple’🧵

🔥 Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances.

A new decade-long Brexit study quantifies it:

A 6–8% hit to GDP

That's £180bn-£240bn a year

It means less tax revenue and so less money for everything.

Brexit made Britain MUCH poorer.

@lisanandymp.bsky.social challenge for today (tomorrow the Telegraph 🙃)
Gibb, normally the "invisible man," is not used to scrutiny.
Shovelled into post by Johnson to attempt to "destroy from within," he is lashing out, as all far-right politicians, stooges, and "little helpers" do.
Lisa Nandy, time for you to act. You are almost buried now. At least do your job now.

In all the BBC reporting of Gibb no mention of his GB News role. The debate re his political influence was purely centred round his advisory role to May, but surely his GBNews connection is much more indicative of his standpoint.

Gibb said he never interfered editorially in the Jewish Chronicle

Hmm - seems like accuracy is not one of his strong points

And isn’t there some kind of sanction for misleading parliament?
