But with instant access to so much the world's knowledge on the Internet, we can now expose these lies at a much faster rate.

I dug into many covers of this for my long-ago covers blog, back when Glen Campbell died. I'm sure you've probably come across many of these already, but thought I'd share just in case. I agree with your zeal, and I think it's the cover versions that got me to that conclusion.
