Abraham Lincoln: “The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.”

JFK: “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.”

Donald Trump: “Things happen.”

Ukrainians are so resourceful:
Streets of Kherson covered with anti-drone nets to protect civilians from russian drones.

A city where russians regularly hunt civilians with drones in the infamous “human safari” for sport and for entertainment, still finds ways to carry on 💔

Pope Leo XIV voiced support for Ukraine, expressing concern over renewed strikes on cities. He called for prayers for a just and lasting peace, noting the toll on civilians, especially children, and the destruction of homes as winter sets in. “I stand close to those who suffer so cruelly,” he said.

This has gone way too far: why can’t we do something about it? Putin has thrown down the gauntlet, and we stand there, stupefied, as Ukrainians take the hit for us, time and again.
This is how Russian drone crashing into your apartment looks like. + we live in truly bizarre times. this person stands there calmly in their Kyiv apartment that was just attacked by a Russian Shahed drone, and just calmly says why you should indeed hide in bathroom or hallway during the attack ,
