During my in-patient trauma therapy I showed some of my horror stories to other patients.
They felt seen and understood, seeing and understanding everything I had used and done in the stories.

It's all "AI is the future" and "you can't get the genie back in the bottle" until the public don't like it and then it's "nooo this was handmade by real humans, it has a heart" and you try to fabricate a process that was never there.

I wish I had learned earlier in life that I'm happier, when I don't act like the taste of my peers should make me limit my own.
And after I learned that, I wish it hadn't taken me as long to not still judge for what I no longer judged myself.
Both parts of adulting made me much, much happier.

I am still disturbed (of sorts) by the comment I'd heard during WFC that people don't like YA.
I know sff folks get snobbish but I did not expect that level of snobbery.
