Corporations and foreign lobbies are the biggest contributors to our elections but fund zero of our actual benefits. So they buy our elections and then we pay for all of the infrastructure and policies which benefit them, almost exclusively. We are a highly oppressed society. It’s sad as fuck.

25% of Walmart’s profits come from SNAP & most of Walmart’s workers are paid so little they qualify for & receive SNAP benefits. I keep thinking about this statistic (heard 11/12 on Democracy Now!) This is such an open grift by a massive corp. In a functioning democracy, this would never be allowed.
