Got that book on CJ and Dr Fitz for my birthday. It's a tremendous story ofc but I was struck how the author referred to his wife. I hope he too is a top of the range bird because this is the sort of description that gets you chucked out a window.

Satisfying to see Farage under such heat but the big question is, why only now? We've known he's been a noxious brute for decades, including details of what a shit he was at Dulwich. Even when on zero support Farage got treated with promethean curiosity by the media. I hope they finally look inward.

Lots of people seemingly asking "Who is / could be the British Zohran?". And of course the answer is, Zohran couldn't possibly exist in Britain, there is no way he'd get anywhere in such a fetid party system and such a bitchy ignorant news media.

Like most BBC scandals, this latest one is complex, multifaceted, and, fundamentally, stupid. There's sloppy editing and feckless oversight yes, but also a congenital, masochistic inability to act affirmatively, and despite being in a time of tyrants the scandal is now the BBC using the wrong fork.

David McCullagh got off to a great start today - wit and preparation a formidable combo. Which is especially clear when your first interviewee is as big an off-the-dome gaum as Ivan Yates. He really is Tobias Funke for people on LinkedIn who drive Audis.

Eight Democrats break ranks in exchange for basically nothing, save for an assurance of a vote they'll lose because Republicans will vote in lockstep on it. This is just how US politics work and the Dems are apparently powerless to stop it. Useless priests can't say mass.
