Once again, our nearest neighbours have had a brilliant idea which forgets about the jurisdiction within their border which allows people to choose their nationality.
'thanks' to the algorithm, this is what I woke up to every morning... As a foreigner, this really gets me in a good mood (not) for the day.
Meanwhile, Catherine is looking like a wiser, deeper thinker and more craic by the day. Which tbf is because she's a deep thinker and great craic, so the last thing a campaign should do is play into your opponent's strongest points. Not that I'm complaining like, but FG just can't do this. #aras25
There's a timeline where Heather is ahead by going round the country smiling and nodding, being photographed with oul wans and cows, and saying nothing much more about Catherine than the odd Reaganesque "What's she like eh?". Instead she's chosen to pour what gravitas she has down the sink. #aras25

It's been very interesting to see the Lisbon Treaty come up so much in the #aras25 campaign. It's astonishing to think just what a different political ecosystem 2009 was: pre-troika, pre-FF exploding, Mary McAleese still President, UK still in EU...and neither Catherine nor Heather were even TDs!
If Alan Kelly's opinion meant anything, he'd still be Labour leader. It's easy to forget but he only *became* Labour leader 5 years ago, and it's only 3 years ago since he was Iain Duncan Smithed out of leadership. #aras25
Yeah this is a real fumble, none of it rings true at all. On a personal basis I hope she doesn't live to regret the bad advice because it's clearly not her.
It's funny, Heather is the one on the attack but she's also the one I'm feeling sorry for. #Aras25
Maybe if Heather was better at this the powerhosing allegations about the place might be more effective. #aras25 #thisweek

Q: Why was the person responsible for the Blackwater fish kill never found?

A: it wasn’t anybody’s job.

I talked to the heads of all the agencies involved in the investigation, about why the biggest pollution event in Irish history fell between the cracks.

Always does amuse me that he managed to avoid making money running a bookies. Like that's an all-timer fumble
No harm to Ivan but the only poll he could top is People I Wish Would Stop Talking. #Aras25

you'd think a prominent news outlet like the New York Times might mention that "antifa" isn't an actual organization in a long story about antifa, but nope!

and the subhead helps props up a false claim this professor was up to something seedy as something up for debate
NYT headline: "Rutgers Expert on Antifa Tries to Flee to Spain After Death Threats"

subheadline: "Mark Bray was teaching courses on antifascism. Turning Point USA accused him of belonging to antifa, which he denies. His flight to Spain was canceled abruptly on Wednesday night."
I thought these kind of questions went out of style with Dukakis - that's where they should stay too.

Cab rank rule should be taught in journalism schools. Along with a big module on units and dimensional analysis.
Is there a barrel bottom that hasn’t been scraped yet in the determined drive to attack the character and professionalism of the Left candidate who’s doing well in polls? Of course Catherine Connolly BL acted for clients on a normal disinterested basis!

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.
