Talking about RU economics, numbers in general

If everyone’s dog and their grandma mentions it, it will become political target soon.

Is the panic finally settling in?

Will this become a thread?

I like the method.

So conservative economist talking about disbalances in economy that I did point out ahem years ago and discussing about possible outcomes. With one of them being government default.

Come on, even I’m not that extreme.

Didn't take long. Will do.
‼️ Russia: “Shipyard employees in Yaroslavl have not received their wages.”

👉 For at least 53 Days.

The shipyard keeps giving various excuses, including “the plant is awaiting funding from the Ministry of Defense”

Do you want to get JDAMed? Because that's how you get JDAMed.

Addendum 2. I did cover somewhere about selling gold before, just cannot find it. Problem with gold is that it's not easy to sell huge volumes without affecting price. But if you accept like 20% loss, you're gucci. And we need to account for Priggies Africa business. So they have a lot of gold.
Russia has started selling off its gold reserves for the first time to pay for the war.

The Bank of Russia has, for the first time, started real sales of physical gold from its reserves as part of the Finance Ministry’s operations to fund the state budget.

Addendum. Yes, I already did M2 before

If we repeat pattern, 120 now, 1t a month and then 6% increase on Dec, that would mean the assume they're "gucci" for now.
November 20, 2025 at 7:28 PM
That's all for now. As expected, waiting for Dec and it will be spicy.

What else. Oh yeah. The tariff for electronics. That's not a novel idea, I guess Brazil has one as well. I would rate this as good idea since it theoretically should slow down consumer spending. Side effects: retail, that's essentially tax on businesses and black market (possible lost VAT revenue).

So, I assume there are lot of background action going on and will continue for whole Dec. With some occasional revelations that will spill over. Also be aware that RU does not have Thanksgiving and Christmas is in January. Hence work will not stop.

On topic of budget. Military enterprises were royally screwed for 2025, hence renewal contracts will be fun (see my post on the story of turbine price increase 3x). I believe they are drafted right now, hence I do see these strange movements.

Another bit is the shocking revelation of budget income for Oct. I would assume Nov will be as bad or near it (one direction or another). Chances of sudden "increase" are way low. Probably Dec will be same. All that puts their 2026 budget projections and estimations into trash.
November 19, 2025 at 10:16 PM
Regarding mobilization and expenses of them, she mentions that "supply side" is good because of troubled regions (coal, timber industries etc). That is supported by Janis Kluge projected data. My point is - the limiting factor will be money (and shrinking), nobody is going to go to war for peanutes.

There's almost 3hr interview with Zubarevich. If you're interested, do listen. She omits oil stuff and let's say she's .. patriotic. Is worth listening because of stuff you don't hear elsewhere.
