Qiime2がいつの間にかdual indexデータに対応しており驚き
共著の論文が出ました。高山帯の標高2,700m地点にガビチョウがいたよ、という報告です。これまでの侵入の状況など文献調査を担当しました。徐々に高標高地域へ分布を広げているようです。

特定外来生物に指定されるガビチョウGarrulax canorus のさえずりを，長野県木曽駒ヶ岳の高山帯で記録した．ガビチョウのさえずりは，2024年8月6日に，標高約2,770mのハイマツ低木林で記録された．高山帯におけるガビチョウの記録はこれまで得られておらず，今回が初記録となる．高山帯で優占 …

先週末は鳥類学若手の会久しぶりの対面イベント「論文合宿@都市大」でした！論文も進んでディスカッションも捗ってとてもよかったです。参加されたみなさんありがとうございました&お疲れ様でした。

New genome assembly of a land snail🐌🎉
Krishnan et al. present annotated nuclear and mitochondrial genome assemblies of Indrella ampulla, a color polymorphic land snail endemic to the Western Ghats of India. The assembly has N50 of 632 kb, and 93.5% BUSCO completeness.

鳥学会大会でいただいたポスター賞の副賞の、モンベルサンダーパスジャケットを受け取りました！春夏秋3シーズン使えそうで重宝しそうです。ベンチレーションがないのはバンダー的には意外と嬉しいポイント（かすみ網に絡みにくいので）。改めてありがとうございました！

新潟県でガビチョウの捕獲調査に出ていました。無事に捕獲成功。ヒップウェーダーはちょっとした物入れに使えて便利。今年のアラスカでの調査で使っていたものを無理やり持って帰ってきたのですがその甲斐ありました。

First-banded birds on campus: Eyebrow thrush and Arctic warbler *sensu lato*! Arctic, Kamchatka and Japanese leaf warbler can be identified based on some measurements, but this individual was close to the margin between species, and didn’t make any call when released so couldn’t be distinguished…
