Ran away to Norfolk seaside. Alll musings of an opinionated dog lover who writes for @BylinesEast about politics, nature & fairness. Pro EU centrist.
My guess is that he believes strongly that Labour should find the cohones to be true to their beliefs and now he is best served staying loyal and fighting for that.

Have you ever considered that he may be a diplomat in very high office who, like the Secret Barrister and others who give good counsel, are not in a position to divulge their identity openly?

I think you should.

Am well aware of "what's going on".

I would counsel that you might benefit from listening to those who may just be better informed....

David Lammy MP certainly knows the damage Brexit has done... but shys away from steps to fix...

So we just go round in circles...
"It’s self-evident that leaving the EU badly damaged our economy, took us out of an important marketplace and created serious friction. Untruths were being peddled."

Are Labour ready to reopen the Brexit debate?

Emily and Jon ask Deputy PM David Lammy.

And that - blocking him - might be your biggest mistake.

Listen to him and there may be more progress to what you ultimately desire.

In Norfolk, we now have to pre book a slot to attend a council recycling dump.

In the past there were often queues waiting to get in. Now when I go they are empty of visitors, just staff standing around. There are restrictions too e.g. on the amount of DIY waste taken.

So where is it going now?

Are you not now sounding like a Brexiteer? 👇

Negotiation is a 2 way street. But when a country walks away from a project (EU), it leaves a bad faith feeling behind. And when those remaining (the EU) are in a much stronger position, then the weaker partner (UK) will have to accept their rules.
I don’t like anyone getting uppity with us.

Speaking of becoming more realistic about Brexit... perhaps, just perhaps, our dire economic circumstances & social poverty are opening eyes...
Brexit: the trillion pound ‘mistake’

The recent NBER report suggests the Treasury’s 2016 analysis – slammed by Brexiters as a ‘hoax’– actually understated the impact of Brexit

Excellent, albeit disturbing account of the shear ineptitude of the UK government's covid response in early 2020 when all the warning signs were there from far east.

Speaking of public health, I do find it a tad incongruous to have ads for betting and crisps alongside your excellent journalism.

Good point. Though PFI has been a disaster to the tax payer coffers through and through, as Private Eye have explained.

That and our local & national govts only think short term next election cycle.
