Hedgerow cutting. There needs to be better education.

It will be a sad day if all the hedgerows recently planted are poorly managed - especially when there is sound advice from Nigel Adams out there
Hedgerows: the skill of balancing growth with need
As autumnal cutting starts debates arise over timing and technique. Is flailing harming wildlife and hedgerow health, or providing care?

EXC: English councils will still be poorer in 2029 than they were in 2010, according to the IfG.

Report finds councils are increasingly providing social care and little else. Libraries, youth services, parks, all falling by the wayside.

The best way to defeat Reform is for millions of people to hear a version of this message:

Wonders of privatisation.

Royal Mail fined £21m.

Hasn't t meet the 1st and 2nd class mail delivery targets to years.

No personal fines on execs. Corporate fines will no doubt be passed on to customers.

No incentive to deliver value for money. People fleeced.
Royal Mail fined £21m by Ofcom for missing delivery targets
It is the third-largest fine the communications watchdog has ever issued.

'Royal Mail was bought by Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky for more than £5bn last year. It posted a profit in September, following three years of losses."

Question: is the £21m fine a drop in ocean compared to profits made for delivering a poor service?

I'm with @amias.net . The survey will give flawed results.

Many questions I could not answer as my answer would be never but there was no option for this. And I too access via social media only.

Donating directly to political parties is so YESTERDAY when you can directly control the news and the organisations that are fed into the news cycle.

Be interesting to know what the interest payments on the EIB loans were and compared to what is currently lent.

UK debt and interest payments are astronomically high so what is full picture? Does lower lending benefit us in long term or not?

Good news for some farmers...

The govt has confirmed that the 5,000+ farmers with agreements under the environmental protection incentives scheme that are soon set to expire will be offered an 1 year extension.

It's good that these areas are benefitting but rural areas need support to keep post offices, pubs and shops. Such places provide community cohesion, are a social hub, and in times of crisis are a godsend.

We've got some fantastic nature news to brighten your day 🎉

Wicken Fen has become the first UK nature reserve to record an incredible 10,000 species. A moth that imitates a wasp was the 10,000th species to be recorded. This work is possible thanks to a major grant from The Nature Recovery Project.
