hey, this might sound a little freaky, maybe even a little radical, but I think the focus should be making sure writers/artists are properly compensated, supported, and have a secure way of living/creating instead of trying to replace us with robots, and/or having us train them.

the way ao3 is free, has no ads, and doesn't obey some evil corporate agenda to push certain content over others. it's the last truly good experience you get online these days.

I didn’t realize Viv (a real person) is ace herself! (not that it matters in terms of what ppl can imagine with ace characters) but I’m excited to see what she does in light of this! I predict a lot of assholery from antis, but maybe seeing canonized nuance will pry some away from the nonsense.

my frustration w/ fandom lately is the growing number of people who don’t seem to a actually want to engage with stories. they want everything to be fun or relatable or easy to digest. Which u know is fine, just read slice of life manga and watch blues clues and you’ll be ok

@hazbinsleepy.bsky.social had a thought about the images that weren’t showing up. I’ve seen other artists have similar trouble getting images to show on A03, so I think there’s a trick to it. The links not working is puzzling though. Never had that issue from ao3. Happy to test/try again.

A lot of othering/alienation I’ve seen comes from other ace people who think their experience of asexuality is somehow more valid than anyone else’s.
