But yesterday, as I occasionally do, I randomly googled "kermode bear plush" and I found something that wasn't a defunct WWF listing or a $500 art plush (which I respect but cannot afford).

I found THIS. From the widely available and generally affordable Wild Republic. Made from recycled bottles.

A small bright spot:

My favorite bear subspecies is the Kermode bear, aka the spirit bear. It's a color morph of the black bear with cream-colored fur and, often, ginger highlights. They are sacred to some First Nations groups.

There's not a lot of Kermode merch that isn't white New Age woo.

I do some strange things for art.
