My pick would be Les Choristes - not a groundbreaking film by any means, but a lovely watch on a Sunday afternoon.

Funnily enough, this movie came to mind when watching “The Penguin Lessons” earlier this year.

My favorite (and fitting being the 50th anniversary) would have to be Rocky Horror.

My pick would have to be Batman Begins, only because I’m overdue to watch an art film.

This is going to be a tough one for Mark - but I think he will pick Belfast.

I thought the 2018 Tomb Raider with Alicia Vikander was a fun film, and a decent adaptation of the rebooted game franchise.

But if we’re expanding film to include TV, then the only answer is The Last of Us.

Morbius - the film so bad it flopped twice.

Wow. Someone is going to be in a LOT of trouble from this list.

But yes, avoid Marry Me

Hanks vs Hanks for me. A man called Otto just felt SO engineered to make you feel the feels (which it absolutely succeeded in), so my pick will be A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood as I knew nothing of Mr Rogers and was heartened in the end.

@kermodemovie.bsky.social will pick The Wicker Man

I’m sorry you feel like this.

Can you do something that makes you feel happy?

Tempted to pick Team America: World Police, but in a world where satire’s so misunderstood that Wall St bros idolize Patrick Bateman unironically, I think I’ll err on the side of caution and go with Spider-Man and contemplate a universe that isn’t as stinkypantswee as the one we are currently in.

With an absolute banger of a catalogue, my pick is simply the film I watched most recently:

Yesterday.

… which i watched a couple of weeks ago. The family loved it.

We loved Brian and Charles the first time, but on second viewing with my mum, the Uncanny Valley hit hard. What felt sweet and funny now seemed weird and off. Maybe it was seeing it through her eyes—or maybe just one too many bubbles with dinner beforehand.

In Bruges I could watch again & again.
