I feel like the thing I need to say constantly for every game difficulty discussion is "There are always tradeoffs". "Well what about this game!" *there are always tradeoffs. "Well what about the joys of this completely uncompromising, game?" Cool, but *also with tradeoffs*.

in regards to this, i think 100% of games would just be straight up better by diminishing or totally removing these elements. they are an insidious but expected part of modern game design
