Nothing worse than dealing with people above you who are incompetent. Given my place is pretty ruthless meritocracy it's rare but you still get the odd person who is better at networking and schmoozing than their ability and skills.

In my old company i could look up the seized Venezuelan tanker and see what its been up to for the last few years. I suspect its a shadow fleet vessel with opaque ownership, and rapidly changing flag, doc company, tech company etc
