They've made it to the Ramapo Service Plaza on 84 near the NJ border.
Without traffic this is a 3:30 drive. They're 8 hours in.
I think they'll now take the GSP to the NJTP to the Penna Turnpike. I expect them to get in between 3 and 4.

They take 84 to the thruway because … reasons. It only adds 15 minutes of driving and avoids the city and tappan zee. Defensible.

That was a relatively quick stop. They made it past Danbury. They’re now at a Trader Joe’s. Last chance before the holiday I guess.
It closes at 9 so it can’t be a long stop.
