Apologies to anyone who got stuck today driving south across the BU Bridge at rush hour.

At one point there were four 47 buses stuck on one block, and it took about an hour to get through the rotary.

Registration/fees/etc: $125
Insurance: $750
Fuel: $900
Maintenance: $1500 (oil changes, tires, $1000 additional/year)
Depreciation: $1250 ($10k car hoping for 8 years of service)

$4500 includes assumed $1000 of maintenance.

i feel like this story is particularly important right now, because protein-maxxing is *so* in vogue. before working on this, i believed i was woefully protein deficient

it turns out that's just a myth that has been floating around for decades—the average american gets more than enough protein!!

But it'd be a meaningless victory since the US Dept of Commerce controls DST and there is not reasonable path to pushing the entire East Coast forward an hour *or* splitting the East Coast.

Entirely meaningless should be right in the Leg's wheelhouse, of course.
