Does anyone know where there might be a historic chart of Mass Pike toll rates?

There is very little where Acela measures up other high speed rail but I found a way in which it is superior:

Step free access (namely, traveling with a stroller).

By luck, happenstance and maybe the ADA, Acela is far better than Korail, TGV or even Shinkansen.

Gotta love that our Acela arrived NYP 7 minutes early at 1841 … and then we left on time at 1910 … 29 minutes later!

The Ardmore Ave P&W station has an impressive ramp structure for access. Not sure it’s entirely ADA-compliant (stairs provide a shorter path, not covered) but it’s better than nothing. We went here to avoid hauling a stroller over a stair bridge at Haverford.

Interesting new working paper that studies chains of movers after the construction of a new apartment building in Honolulu.

Paper finds that the project resulted in the opening up other, lower cost, housing on the island, benefiting the housing market overall.

One of the biggest barriers to implementing pro-housing policy is the folk wisdom that building new market rate/mixed-income housing increases rents even though study after study shows that the opposite is the case:

building more housing lowers rents

look man you do not have to hand it to the finance industry but ..... does receiving $111,000 today have the same value, to you, as the possibility of receiving $111,000 seven years from now
one of the least sympathetic microgenres of post is, "I financed an extremely expensive truck at fairly normal APRs and am paying HOW MUCH in interest?!"

my uncle is broke as shit in his 60s in large part from making this exact sort of decision multiple times

This JetBlue aircraft (N3275J) is so new it doesn’t have a safety video loaded yet.

It also has an entire empty row of seats ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Kind of an unrealistic bit – a bunch of internet communists convening on Elon Musk’s social media site to decide which of the liberals are Nazis?
sometimes you just need to take a step back and marvel at the absurdity that is the left-NIMBY mindset

I forgot how much I like my Very Healthy Smoothie:

4-6 oz cranberries (fresh or frozen)
Enough milk to cover the cranberries
1 avocado (the Trader Joes teeny ones are a great size)
1 banana
1 handful of spinach
A squeeze of honey if desired

My inlaws were supposed to drive to Philadelphia from Boston on Sunday.

For reasons entirely within their control, they're going today.

They don't exactly move, uh, swiftly. My MIL shares her location with me so today I'll be tracking their progress at

The line outside of Petsi Pies this morning is amazing!

It’s also the busiest I’ve ever seen the Star lot (compare with last night when it was a ghost town even when market basket was packed).
