May or may not be an actual octopus. Definitely not an official account of OWS.
My prediction that when the Epstein files were released they would be ineptly and very obviously redacted to try to conceal mentions of Trump appears to be confirmed.

… but as far as predictions go, this one was pretty low-hanging fruit.

On a scale of "Tuskeegee Experiment" to "Josef Mengele", exactly how fucked is this proposal?
More about RFK Jr.'s colonialist medicine.

The study team describes period before universal vaccination-at-birth in 2027 as a "unique window of opportunity".

In a sense they're right. It's a unique window of opportunity for a wealthy country to experiment on citizens of the global south.
Many people have been giving excellent updates about the $1.6 million that RFK Jr. has given to Danish researchers to “study” the HepB birth dose in Guinea-Bissau, and I’m glad this story is spreading.

The first thing that was confirmed is that the researchers are Benn and Aady, as many predicted.

My prediction is that any Epstein files released will have been redacted to minimize damage to certain people.

But the redaction will quickly be discovered, perhaps by comparing documents already public against copies in the (redacted) fileset.

Because they are just so damn bad at this.

Insiders say that Prince bin Salman intends to present Donald Trump with a solid gold bonesaw as a token of their friendship.

People criticize Keir Starmer a lot, but he's done something that many political observers would have said was impossible: he's made the Conservatives look competent, and Reform look like a serious political party.

To believe that Donald Trump is not a serial sexual predator requires you to believe that double-digit numbers of women are ALL lying, and that Donald Trump is telling the truth for what might quite possibly be the first time in his life.

When the history of our time is written, the record will have to show that thousands of innocent people were systematically terrorized not as part of any coherent agenda, but because a bunch of knuckle-dragging racist dipshits wanted to cosplay being SEAL Team 6.
NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

I think it's very big of Donald Trump to work against releasing the Epstein files because he knows they contain information that could embarrass his good friend Bill Clinton.
November 13, 2025 at 4:11 AM
Whatever else you may say about Epstein, you can't say that he wasn't a shrewd judge of character.
Jeffrey Epstein: "I have met some very bad people. None as bad as Trump. Not one decent cell in his body."

There is a very definite case for cutting off Dick Cheney's head and burying him at the crossroads with a stake through his heart, the way they used to do with vampires.

The man hasn't even had a pulse for decades. There is no single better candidate for "probably undead" in the US today.
November 4, 2025 at 2:46 PM
I don't think Dick Cheney was even in my "Top Ten People I'd Like To See Die Suddenly of Natural Causes" list any more. These days he might not even have made the top twenty.

They said that during Trump's first term too. They didn't have a plan then, except a vague idea of letting insurance companies sell you worse plans for more money.

Eight years later, they still don't have a plan.

Only one thing is certain: whatever they eventually do come up with will be horrible.
Rep. Jeff Van Drew on Republicans' healthcare plan: "The plan is to come up with something better."

This isn't a prediction or a recommendation, but I'd just like to point out that the last autocratic ruler who got both Luke Skywalker AND Han Solo mad at him got hurled into the reactor shaft of a space station that then blew up.

He's lucky Carrie Fisher isn't alive. She'd probably make it happen.

It's the Great Pimpking, Charlie Brown.
Last night I saw a guy on the sidewalk in a Charlie Brown costume kissing a woman in a slutty angel costume and I couldnt snap a pic fast enough to show you all that Charlie Brown has hoes.

They may have stripped him of all his titles, but to me he'll always be Nonce Andrew.
October 31, 2025 at 1:12 PM
The establishment – any establishment, but the British ruling classes above all – instinctively reacts to scandal or criticism by closing ranks to protect its members (and itself).

The fact they are publicly expelling Andrew is an acknowledgement that whatever he did must have been truly monstrous.
This is the Royal equivalent of the amputation of a gangrenous limb to stop the rest of The Firm getting infected.

An act of self-preservation.

If it was integrity, then they'd have booted Andrew out years ago.

They didn't.

The Republicans blame the Democrats for the shutdown and the hardship it will cause, in the hope that people will hate the Democrats. The Democrats blame the Republicans, hoping people will hate the Republicans.

Neither seems to imagine that people might end up hating BOTH parties.

As they should.

He's not wrong. J.D. Vance speaks a different language than I do, the language of fascism, and I certainly don't want that asshole living anywhere near me.

"Mr. President, a head of state beloved by right-wingers for his conservative economic policies is struggling …"

"Send him $20bn!"

"And your rich friends invested in his country. Now their money is at risk!"

"Make it $40bn!"

"And he's a crypto fraudster!"

"My kind of guy! He can have $80bn!"
Listen, we can’t send this guy enough of our money. Most trustworthy investment ever.

Analysts fear that the Trump administration may be running out of new ways to express their utter contempt for Americans, democracy, and basic decency.
October 19, 2025 at 10:26 AM
On the bright side, if we can somehow harness the energy generated by the Founding Fathers spinning in their graves, we'll have solved America's energy problems for the next four centuries.
It is a scandal totally unprecedented in history that the Vice President has shared a video depicting the President as king. It’s an obscene violation of every founding American principle.

And nothing will come of it. It makes me physically sick.

Ah yes, that old right-wing classic: "Give me the ammunition I need to fire you. By end of day Friday."
News: Bari Weiss just sent a memo to staffers at CBS News asking them to produce a memo explaining "how you spend your working hours—and ideally, what you've made (or are making) that you're most proud of."

One CBS News staffer puts it like this to me: "We just got Elon Musked."
