I think it's very possible that the coal fire was fixed, and Silent Hill is back to being a normal town again. What I'm REALLY surprised by is how much this shot actually looks like Silent Hill haha

There's this shot of what looks like people just walking around a normal Silent Hill, one person even looks like they're on a phone. It's possible that in the 13 years since Revelation 3D, the coal fire was fixed somehow and its back to being a regular town again.

I'm surely alone in this, most SH fans are probably recoiling hard from everything they've shown, I get it -- but if they're doing a new take on this material, putting their own unique spin on it, I'd much rather it be something that looks like Return to Silent Hill than Silent Hill: Revelation 3D

Gonna be real, I'm falling in love with everything we're seeing from Return to Silent Hill. It looks bold, artistic, and visionary, which are things I wouldn't describe either previous film as. A bad adaption? Yep lol - but it looks like the changes are made with INTENT rather than just changes. 1/4

Resident Evil: Survival Unit is out! The first hour is honestly pretty fun if super simple. About what you'd expect from a mobile, beginner's interpretation of the series. Fixed cameras and door loading screens are back, which is fun. Not too bad tbh. 1/2

...but rather to emphasize Spencer specifically. There's been a bit of speculation that the helmeted man seen in RE9's most recent trailers may in fact be a resurrected Spencer, having survived Wesker's killing blow in 2006. I'm still not convinced, but I will say that the wounds are similar.

Dunno how the hell I missed it, but there's potentially a HUGE clue hidden in this video -- on Maggie's conspiracy board, Alyssa is connected directly to Spencer. Perhaps the video leaving out Marcus and Ashford portraits was more than just not wanting to use 20 year old renders...

Yeah, around 2011 I think? They revised them to just have character stills from the games, I think they’re kinda lame.

Also worth mentioning just how influential these novels have been on extended media as well. Both Romero’s RE script and Welcome to Raccoon City use the PDA map from Perry’s novelization, and Resident Evil: Retribution uses the exact same premise as her original RE novel, Underworld
