Need a little feel good story?

My neighbor has a cottage baking license & asked if anyone needed homemade bread during the snap crisis.

I brought her some flour for that lil’ project & today she brought me homemade bagels.

A tiny silver lining of this mess is neighbors making new connections. 💗

As the days get darker, the ceramic luminaries shine ever brighter.

Man, I just love these.

Prepping homemade soap for felting… cleaning up the edges and rough spots so it felts evenly.

I really need life to cut me a little slack.

But in the meantime, aren’t my homemade gnomes cute?

Imma take that as a good omen. 🤩

Today I’m learning how to render deer fat. If it turns out, I’ll use it to make soap. 🧼

I always love learning new things! 🤗

Listen, I know “jarlic“ gets a bad rap, but when you grow your own hardneck garlic and then prep and freeze it, it’s pretty good.

For a little over 15 years I’ve been breeding garlic for health and clove size.

Regular clove is about 1/8 oz, mine is 7/8th.

Try to tell me evolution isn’t real. 🤣🤣🤣

When you’re protesting on the way to a wedding, your outfits for the day have some contrast. 🤣🤣🤣

Happy #NoKings day, America!

I’m packing up some packages to mail this morning, and the newspaper I grabbed was from the morning of No Kings 1. 😭

Damn. Still heartbreaking.

Can I share some more pottery joy?

I just about died of happiness when this baby emerged from the kiln.

My first thrown platter that didn’t warp! 12” across, finished.

And that glaze? 😍

Eggs fresh from my friend’s chickens, chives and raspberries fresh from my yard. All served on my own pottery.

This is the good life.

One of the best parts of harvesting wild rice is having extra to share.

Today’s dispatch from a “war torn” city:

I found a carved heart on my deck, the bumblebees are all over my abundant sunflowers, and I waved at little kids at bus stops on my way home from work.

My dog and I will play frisbee in the yard later.

I made a double batch of @peggyflanagan.bsky.social Wild Rice hot dish with the wild rice I harvested this fall.
