I hiked the AT, rode the Tour Divide, and paddled the Mississippi. I spend the rest of my time trying to save democracy.
I fixed my sister's neighbor's dryer. I was happy to save her a good chunk of money instead of buying a new one, but I was most satisfied that I got a chance to talk about some of the crazy stuff going on in MN.

She knew some stuff, but I added more.

If Ann Arbor people want to protest against ICE, I suggest outside of Debbie Dingell's office and ask for her to cosponsor the articles of impeachment against Noem.

"Tuesday’s 6-1 vote – with Councilmember Sonja Brunner voting against – allows the city to terminate the agreement with 30 days’ notice, which means the end of the contract could be Feb. 12 at the earliest."

Nice work! 👍

They were (are?) both pretty fucking wrong about Gaza.
She warned us. Like Hillary, Kamala was right about everything.

We got our last report done for 2025 and totaled up our fundraising. My buddy and I cleared over $65,000 for our local Democratic party.

So they're going to destroy the west wing now, too? wtf.

Y'all should be using Signal for all of your texting. It's like wearing a seatbelt. You won't know you need it until it's too late, and it only requires a minor annoyance until you change habits.

We all know this isn't a rogue federal agent. It's a rogue federal agency.

It's crazy that some people are trying to say that there isn't imperialism in Europe. The British Empire hasn't even been having sunsets for an entire year.

How long before the full breakout of WWIII? China may invade Taiwan any minute. So many other wars are held back from the cusp because of an international order that is rapidly collapsing.

Never worked in a newsroom, but have you noticed they've developed their own sort of haiku, where you have to create a sentence with the precise length such that it fits 3 lines then cuts off before purportedly relevant info:

What command of language. They could've been poets...

Watching through the Jack Smith deposition and I wanted to say that the Public Integrity Section should obviously not be abbreviated at "PIN".

Best wishes to all the linesmen out there restoring our power on this rough night. It's much appreciated.

People really shouldn't use "sex pest" when they're talking about unwanted physical contact or preying on children. Those are predators. A pest is like a mosquito or house fly.

It's crazy to me that people think they need a video camera on their front door so that they can avoid answering twice a year.

What is so hard about thermostats? Why can people not understand that turning the thermostat down does not cool an area that got too hot because it's crowded with people?

Well, I spent 15 seconds getting the folding chairs out of the closet so they can be in our way for the next 30 hours until we use them.

Tomorrow we'll set the table at 10:00 AM for 4:00 PM Christmas dinner. Not sure what we'll do for 6 hours since we can't play games.

Wish it made sense.

I like being an uncle for the holidays because: Mom and dad are responsible, and will discipline you. Grandpa and Grandma are indulgent, and will coddle you. But the uncle... the uncle is unpredictable. The niece and nephew cannot know what the uncle will do, because the soul of the uncle is CHAOS

If I come to visit and you play Christmas music at deafening levels, I'm just going to assume you don't want to talk to me. I'll quietly sit in another room.
