In spite of the chaotic elements from that game, I thought that was a poor performance from LFC & an utterly baffling tactical game plan from the coach.

Szoboszlai fouling Haaland and then begging for a foul, proper slapstick stuff.

Szoboszlai had a goal, let in a goal, and got a red. That's about a Diego Costa hat trick.

Statement from the Premier League: After review, there is a careless foul by Haaland, that pulls the shirt of Dominic Szoboszlai. Prior to that, Szoboszlai commits a holding offence that denies an obvious goal scoring opportunity. The final decision is a direct free kick to Man City and a red card.

Stunning scenes at Anfield
Manchester City turn it around away from home to keep the title race very much alive.

I’ve been done with Slot for a while, completely unlike me, I don’t call for the manager to go, bar Roy.

He can’t carry on, he’ll obviously get until the end of the season, but that’s all she wrote as far as I’m concerned

Haaland makes one and scores one, decent return for somebody who - according to Gary Neville - had done fuck all.

Still trying to get my head around a player getting sent off denying a goal scoring opportunity when there was an actual goal!

It's going to be hilarious when Arsenal win the Premier League by a goal difference of +1 over City.

30-35 minutes of positive play. And as soon as we got our reward for that good spell we crawled back into our shell again.

Abysmal game. Same issues as before.

Timed at 92:42, Erling Haaland’s penalty for Manchester City was the latest winning goal on record by a visiting team at Anfield in the Premier League (since 2006-07). (Opta)

Liverpool have conceded four 90th-minute winners in league matches this season; already the joint-most by a team in a single Premier League campaign, after Watford in 2017-18, West Ham in 2021-22, Watford in 2021-22, and Southampton in 2024-25. (Opta)
