but yeah im with you on the cascading successes of the music, then vocals, then lyrics. girl there are some shitty lyrics out there but i can overlook them if the music rocks and the singer can act like an instrument that supports the arrangement.

i don’t mind a bad performance but i mind a poor choice. im listening to a band, for reasons, and the singer insists on being in her upper register but she can’t stick the landing and hits flat. this is on the studio album, like, where you get do-overs.
