Folks, the House advanced the disastrous reconciliation bill, with the destructive 10-year State Ban against regulations for AI intact!

We now MUST mobilize our calls to the Senate! Call today!

If you need a script the post below offers a fantastic alternative!

We only have one chance! Lets go!
The House just advanced §43201 (Sub. C, Title IV), AKA the 10 year ban on state AI laws: thehill.com/homenews/hou...

It's now time to reach out to your Senators!

Wondering how? See: 5calls.org/issue/ai-reg...

Or feel free to use the card below.

1/4 Well look at that. Open Ai and Google outright reject “Opt-Out” models, hell they even reject basic transparency requirements.

AI companies demand they get everything, including our Intellectual Property, for free, and without anyone ever being able to tell the companies no.

I'm starting a list of creatives from different disciplines that are for protecting human artists. Hopefully we can get a larger movement to unify creatives against AI. And I will make sure to not include anyone that has "no lists" in their description.

It’s a labeler for tagging genAI images and flagging accounts using genAI profile pics, banners, or frequent AI imagery. Much of the team are artists themselves, working to protect fellow artists and keep people informed.

The tactics of the #teslatakedown movement may vary, but one thing unites us all: we will continue to resist oligarchy and technofascism with all we got.

Strongly suggest anyone to buy any imported foods you regularly consume soon: Seafood, coffee, olive oil, and certain types of rice are all import heavy.
I don’t understand how we so quickly forgot the supply shock lessons of Covid. Do people not remember what it was like to just not be able to get ahold of stuff required for daily existence?

I am telling you, manufacturers that can’t absorb these tariffs are going to simply stop assembly lines.

When it comes to this wave of AI, it's best to argue from a position of some technology just shouldn't be made, rather than from accuracy. Everyone needs to be against this, the US with 'Predictive Policing' and every other country is going down this path. Make Orwell Fiction Again worldwide.
Would say “these systems don’t work” but the actual work of these systems is to more fully embed and perpetuate the racism of carceral systems, and thus they work exactly as intended.

There are numerous studies showing Big Tech's algorithms are causing people, especially Gen Z, to become depressed and develop other mental health problems. We've been letting Silicon Valley push their 'cures' to harm they've caused for too long. Some technologies just shouldn't be made.
“…researchers gathered a group of roughly 200 people who had diagnosable conditions like depression and anxiety, or were at risk of developing eating disorders. Half of them worked with AI therapy bots. Compared to those that did not receive treatment, those who did showed significant improvement”
The (artificial intelligence) therapist can see you now
Many AI products claim to deliver mental health therapy, but with little quality control. But new research suggests with the right training, AI can be effective at helping people.

There is the (older) Konqui plushie which is quite nice. Don’t know if that is still available. I would quite like to see the modern Konqui and friends as plushies.
