Making AI Predictive Policing is what they want the database for. I feel we should start including demands for AI restrictions and bans in the movement. The tech oligarchs are getting away with a lot without any focus on them 5calls.org/issue/ai-reg...

Hi I've been trying to find information on this but couldn't find updates. Do you know if that part of the law went through?

NO I DO NOT WANT THIS

I think now the thing moving politicians everywhere isn't the hype, but tech bros selling the AI race to them, telling them they can win. When we're just going to end up poorer and not able to even buy groceries.

I can't believe that the majority of people in the UK want to let these companies make more powerful AI. In the US polls show the majority of people want to restrict AI, not develop it more.

It's just that they're not talking about just chatbots or video generators like in 2023, they're planning for the creation of General Intelligence. Look at the engineers at Anthropic and OpenAI stated mission. They want to replace everyone, against what the majority want www.vox.com/future-perfe...
AI that’s smarter than humans? Americans say a firm “no thank you.”
Exclusive: 63 percent of Americans want regulation to actively prevent superintelligent AI, a new poll reveals.

Unbelievable that there's just been no way to opt-out of your content being processed by grok yet.

The plagarism machines being made by Big Tech so they get to AGI are the problem, narrow AI models that could transform medtech and actually help the human condition are good progress. If it was just that, I feel people wouldn't be against it.

And if the suggest Matrix/Element?

The multi-billionaire investors know this, that's what they want. They just think they're the only ones that won't be overthrown by AI. fixupx.com/vitrupo/stat...

Marc Andreessen says when AI does everything else, VC might be one of the last jobs still done by humans. It's more art than science. There's no formula. Just taste, psychology, and chaos tolerance.

The companies making these are trying to develop AGI(Artificial General Intelligence) to replace every job. They're openly saying so, but the algorithms has been keeping this contained since 2023. www.tomsguide.com/ai/elon-musk... fixupx.com/vitrupo/stat...

Yeah I think we just need to enforce current copyright law not expand it. I'm with the side of anti-AI that is trying to to get treaties for an international framework restricting model training and deployment to specific types of narrow AI.

Very possible, especially with polls showing a majority of US voters want restrictions on AI. Even when the "race" with China fearmongering is part of the question, a majority in both major parties are against it. They just need to know about solutions to call for. theaipi.org/poll-shows-v...

Gone through this exact shift in opinion, especially as AI corp CEOs and vulture capitalists are just flat out saying they want to replace humans entirely. We need artists to organize to stop this. www.tomsguide.com/ai/elon-musk...

What would be the subset of reasons that could lead to bans, in your opinion?
May 26, 2025 at 10:43 PM
We need to organize people to call for StopAI's and others treaties to stop the AI race. Big Tech will keep ruining everything if we don't.
May 26, 2025 at 10:42 PM
I'd rather organize for the treaties to stop what would be an illegitimate overthrow of humanity by Big Tech. From the results of safety researchers, these things shouldn't even have the level of integration in our infrastructure that they currently do.

I don't think the water usage is going to destroy the planet, but it's a case of "rules for thee, not for me". Politicians disincentivize people from using water in drought zones, yet allow AI corps to build and cool their data centers with the water in those areas. www.bloomberg.com/graphics/202...
The AI Boom Is Draining Water From the Areas That Need It Most
A Bloomberg News analysis finds that roughly two thirds of new data centers built or in development in the US since 2022 are in places with high levels of water stress.

The only way this is going to stop is if we organize to stop the AI race. If we got large artists and creatives together to call for treaties to stop the race, we could bring this down for good.
