Heavy disagree. At the risk of sounding like a GOP senator, we really do need to be “tough on China.”

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying we shouldn’t go to college. I’m saying our education should be more challenging and more meaningful. Knowledge and education, when done right, genuinely shape you into a better person.
In my experience as a college student, I’ve found that much of Gen Z struggles with critical thinking, reading, and writing. It’s disheartening, and honestly, I don’t have much hope.

Trump wants to give power back to the states. Some states are lowering standards.

In other words, training on how not to be a war criminal is obsolete now.
Here is the training that the Army says is no longer mandatory
The Army is removing resiliency training and leaving courses on occupational safety, law of war, combat lifesaving, and more up to commanders.

I understand the push for equal standards in combat arms, but I worry Hegseth’s approach could lead to identical physical requirements across the entire force, effectively pushing most women out.

While I agree with this in principle, I worry that “sex-neutral” becomes code for excluding women entirely, even those who do meet the bar.
Hegseth directs service chiefs to conduct 'sex-neutral' review of combat arms standards
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered the military services to clearly define arms and non-combat arms.

the foreign policy of the trump administration is simple: we must sell out ukraine today in order to sell out taiwan tomorrow
Not that I think my observations will change any minds, but this statement and the attitude behind it make the Taiwan invasion that the policy folks of this admin are officially obsessed with preventing more likely, more dangerous, and more difficult to defeat.
"The United States does not believe that NATO membership for Ukraine is a realistic outcome for a negotiated settlement."- Hegseth said.

He also added that Ukraine will not return to the 1991 borders

In Ukraine right now, it feels as though we are being plunged into an abyss without any safety net

In addition to business schools, universities should also cut football programs (and all other varsity athletics, for that matter) and return to their missions as institutions dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge.
