Born in the States, live in New Zealand, citizen of the world who chose to spend my spare time and money travelling, until my wings were clipped by a carbon budget. Bring on electric aviation, I want to get back in the air! Meanwhile I cosplay farming.
Yes, that about sums it up!
If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

Who cut the $1000 Kickstarter? National
Who reduced the minimum contribution to 3%? National
Who reduced the member tax credit from $1040 to $521? National
Who then reduced the same member tax credit from $521 to $260.72? National.

Don't believe National on Kiwisaver.

Can Maxwell provide credible absolution for trump if she was not aware of any criminal activity? I suppose I’m asking if a kind assessment from a fool amounts to anything valuable?

Listening to Winston Peters losing it on air, resorting to faux offense and insults. You’re past it man, let younger competent folk manage the government now, please.

Bleak grey day on the ground here in New Zealand, and online, from what I can see
I mean, look, I'm not a reporter, so who am I to talk?

But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession.

But that's just me

The USA has shot itself in the upper thigh, the better to hit a major artery.
The dominant narrative is that the world is rolling back climate policy. But what does the data say?

The latest Oxford Climate Policy Monitor Annual Review from the Oxford Climate Policy Hub tells three key stories.

Why do we have to watch our representatives so closely to ensure they do not give everything away? Have they not got their own brains?
AMEN
An agreement to agree to do a later vote is NOT an enforceable contract so what in the actual hell are Americans getting out of this deal??

Preach!
look I know being an engaged citizen IS the work of democracy but it is also the work of elected officials not to create situations where everyone has to be mobilized all the time to prevent them from allowing some kind of Dickensian horror on a Sunday night while you're in between loads of laundry

I like this guy! The NYT is still putting out good content, it’s just their news and editorial has gone off the rails in a way that means I can no longer subscribe.

Hard to quibble with New Zealand’s place, all those countries above seem good quality. Except maybe Switzerland, I’d say they’re the one to target if we want to move up, and they’re first? Really?
According to this ranking, Canada’s reputation has improved since 2024. We are now the 2nd most reputable country in the world.

The United States has dropped from 30th to 48th in that same year, the biggest drop of any nation BY FAR. Its reputation-peers are now Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan…

NYT letting me read their content now. Not going to guilt me in to paying for kowtowing though. I will pay when they report responsibly.

Ok the White House renovation timeline, it’s a spoof, right? Or these people have no shame and don’t want to be adults? I mean I shared it with outrage and then deleted because, outrage got me thinking, did I fall for something? But it is a .gov
