I haven’t yet had the chance to program Rust professionally, so I am learning it on my own. My first Rust project is processing a large 59 gig wave file using AVX512 SIMD and rayon to calculate a binary heap of RMS levels but ultimately I want to use DSP to split it into tracks.

In the 80s, light bulbs were terrible, so we’d buy 300 watt halogen torchiere lamps that would burn homes down if they were knocked over.
even within your own lifetime it is difficult to recall how much better everything you eat, drink, and touch is than it used to be
It is genuinely hard for most people to grasp how poor the past was.
