On a similar note, Uber exists because SF taxis were (and maybe still are) unbelievably shitty. Like completely failed to be useful for any of the things you might want a taxi for levels of complete and utter shit.

I can't find evidence of any post-consolidation NYC mayor even making a serious attempt to run for President. And there are something like 90 pre-consolidation mayors as well, but I haven't looked into their records.

Not a single person who has been elected mayor of NYC in its current form (i.e. since 1898) has ever won any other elected office afterwards. Adams is not likely to break that streak.
