A friendly reminder to pre-order Dread Mondays to read the twisted little short story that @drspookyer.bsky.social and I wrote featuring video rentals and disturbing found footage!
I just put together that the director of Weapons and Barbarian was one of The Whitest Kids U Know. Holy crap.

Just finished reading The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre by @pfracassi.bsky.social and wow, what a killer slasher novel. A fresh concept, a great cast, creative kills, and twists and turns that kept me on my toes until the end. I highly recommend it!

We're back with a new episode! Loved chatting with Steve about a horror movie I didn't know existed prior to him recommending it for the episode (The Mill is pretty damn solid!) and just geeking out about horror in general! Listen to the episode and read Dread Mondays!

My Thanksgiving prep this year only consists of making two dulce de leche banana pies and two pumpkin crunch cream pies. Both are extremely easy to prep. It almost feels like I'm getting away with a crime, compared to previous years.

Aww yeah, I got my first issue of The End Times! Unique approach to apocalyptic storytelling, from Stephen King and Benjamin Percy? Hell yeah. Can't wait for issue 2!

Finished reading Dread Mondays and absolutely loved this anthology of work place horror. Our story “Cutting Room” is a grisly found footage horror in a video rental store and two stories in this collection (including ours!) are nominated for a Pushcart Prize!

Watching “The Mill” for our @screamkings.bsky.social episode tomorrow with @whisperhousepress.bsky.social’s Steven Capone Jr. Can’t believe I haven’t seen this dismal workplace horror before!

I love that there's a long-standing tradition of Christmas ghost stories (A Christmas Carol was just one of several Dickens wrote, for example), so Christmas horror movies just feel like a natural extension of that.
