BREAKING:

TIM WALZ: "If you see these ICE agents in your neighborhood, take out that phone and hit record."

"Help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans, not just to establish a record for posterity, but to bank evidence for future prosecution."
January 15, 2026 at 1:39 AM
Something Walz just said that I want to make sure ICE heard: video footage of ICE’s behavior will be helpful in court. So Minnesota, keep those phones charged and on you.

telling the secret police they have immunity to harm & kill citizens really lays bare the hollowness of decades of right-wing GOP screeching about encroaching Big Government - it was never a problem they had with government per se, just that it wasn't being used to harm the people they wanted to

What, like a bruise?
Zero percent chance this is true.

A good question grounded in two interrelated U.S. problems: 1) a deeply individualistic society that has commodified or destroyed most forms of community & 2) an ideological inability to recognize fascist state capture bc it represents an escalation of existing systems of repression.
Why are Americans not doing anything?
Why do they think that a nifty sign is enough to fight this?
I don't get it.

Ahmed bin Hassan: “Do not be accomplices to your own oppression. Do not allow anybody in uniform or because of the power that they hold or the office they work from, do not allow them to intimidate you if you are oppressed,” he said. “It’s not a crime to not speak English.”

Explain to me like I'm five what the 2nd Amendment is for if not for this. King George III never said anything this obnoxious or deliberately inflammatory.

A great American.
“I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often, and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity,” said TJ Sabula, the UAW worker who heckled President Trump and who Trump flipped off and cursed at. “And today I think I did that.”

Yes, immigration agents not only took Arnoldo's phone, the 10th grader had to use Find My Phone to locate it — in a vending machine for used electronics, close to an ICE detention center.
