I was mainly thinking "use expect instead" (if it forced me to "handle the error properly" every time I agree it would be very annoying). But yeah even then, there's always exceptions...

It seems her self-hosted websites are already falling apart (expired certs etc). Archiveteam is getting them preserved into Wayback Machine now.

The not-fun part 10y ago was the repo conversion tool taking 3 hours to go through the whole history of the SVN repo, then you'd look at the resulting git history and see that you missed a branch in the converter config and have to wait 3 hours again...

I did a lot of the SVN-to-Git migration of the main KDE repositories, 10+ years ago (omg I'm old).

The hard part with translations is not converting the repos, but rewriting the infrastructure scripts to use git instead. The pile of bash and perl that runs daily to extract UI strings from code...

KDE is still not done getting rid of their SVN repository (moving translations to git is work in progress).
