Aw, here it goes…
Genre surely. Like, most of the R&B superstars in the US started out singing in church choir (R&B = gospel for shagging) and they'd have to be OUTSTANDING to make it, as they have. That's not how it goes over here.
Add grafting for every single vs US R&B acts AND UK pop acts getting easier rides.

You've answered your own question

I'm less cynical because it's North American dates, so they don't have to stick their neck out at all really. It's a good move to do for a UK act though (BBC News coverage - hooray)

You do get a lot of bangers in your line of work

Love when there's a bit of UK wallaby action, me.

Not very budget responsible of them.

“an earlier animal” suggests to me perhaps a thylacine or mammoth or if we’re really lucky, a dinosaur.

It's risky too when it's something that fans think belongs to them. You don't want to look like a sheep.

Seems like such a random pairing too

But it's Irish

That was what tipped me over the edge

Could've been Greggs Leicester Square too if Wicked hadn't swooped in first.

I could have also been talking about Wicked.
