My 2025 big movie catch-up culminated with 'Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning' which I thought was good fun in the classic M:I sense, but comfortable the worst of the 4 McQuarrie movies.

After seeing some dinosaurs at the Manchester Museum, I thought it was a good day to watch 'Jurassic World Rebirth' but that was a bad idea because this really is the epitome of Hollywood mediocrity.

I took David Grann's 'The Wager' with me to Manchester and it sparked multiple pub chats, including with a notable football journalist.

Continued my run of 2025 big movie catch-ups with 'Weapons' which I thought was absolutely superb, a great mix of horror and comedy with plenty of surprises and something to say about 'American' 'society'.

Sounds like this was another absolute trainwreck and best avoided. Very funny that the fans were chanting AEW at the end though.
I haven't watched a minute of WWE since Wrestlemania and that bullshit finish. I might watch Cena's last match for old time's sake though I'm apprehensive. From following online it seems literally the only good character and storyline in the entire company this year is Becky Lynch.

Starting a run of some of the big 2025 movies I haven't seen yet, starting with '28 Years Later' which I thought was absolutely brilliant and probably the best thing Danny Boyle has done in ages, maybe since the first one.

Anyway, watching Dynamite Winter Is Coming, will do my C2 thoughts in the existing thread but as an early Harley Cameron adopter I am delighted she and Willow are the first Tag Champs.

While I'm moaning about adverts I really hate this trend where things that were organic and human become commodified. So meeting up with your friends is now a COSTA CHRISTMAS CATCH-UP TM or the National Lottery advertising scratchcards as gifts.

There's an advert for Amazon Music on every podcast at the moment where a son makes a Christmas playlist for his mum and it almost makes me OK with mine being dead.
