Gonna reinstall CachyOS. Nothing's wrong with it, I just wanna reset my system to a point where it doesn't have a ton of crud left over from my habit of tinkering. I even went and made a database of everything I want to carry over in Obsidian.

Okay, heads up to everyone considering downloading the new free version of Affinity: they make you sign up for a Canva account, and they absolutely collect a lot of data, including for AI training. If you must use Affinity, turn off everything on the "Personal privacy" page.

Okay, I can confirm that by adding it as a game in Steam, #DuetNightAbyss works and runs pretty much flawlessly on #Linux once you've signed in.
UI is fine. I'd kill for am FOV slider. And the vertical scaling at 32:9... presents some issues in cutscenes (screenshot 4). Lotta chest shots.

Okay, honestly, I have no idea if this is going to work. But so far, I have the Duet Night Abyss launcher up and running on Linux. Time to see if the game works, too.

That's right, I'm playing the My Time at Evershine alpha playtest. It's a closed playtest, so I won't be sharing screenshots or anything, but I'll write up some impressions and my hopes for the future of the game later.

Update: the horse-care sim elements are fairly straightforward. Keep food, medicine, and other gear on you. Don't push the horse too hard like an idiot. Let it drink water.
I'm a big fan of the route planning feature and I would like to see it in all video games forever please and thank you.

Initial impressions: outdoor environments are gorgeous. Horse movement has had a lot of love put into it; human movement... ehhh. Indoor lighting could use work.
Side note: UI and general gameplay work in 32:9 aspect ratio. Certain menus and the cutscenes don't.

Okay, this is admittedly really fuckin' cool. Atuin, the project behind that awesome little CLI history tool, just made a "Runbook" app. Kinda-sorta like Ansible, but visual?
It lets you run scripts and code-related processes right from your documentation.
This is gonna be A Thing for me, I think.

So when we make the bed, we fold the blanket down at the end of it. And one of my favorite things is when Cleo is sleeping at the foot of the bed and I can just tuck her in and kiss her nose, and here's how she looks all tucked in with a freshly-kissed nose.
