If people started using crypto to avoid this tax and lawmakers tried to close the loophole with unconstitutional restrictions on speech and software publication we'd happily fight it out in the courts.
The proposed 5% remittance tax in the ‘Big Beautiful Tax Bill’ does not apply to crypto transactions sent from self custody. And may not apply to transactions sent from hosted wallet providers either.

“decentralization” can be a scary word but eg look at custom feeds
instead of our own blackbox algorithm, we’re turning it over to third-party users to create a marketplace of feeds that anyone can subscribe to. for us, third-party should feel as seamless as first-party — that’s decentralization
