We've had a few summers that have made me go "yup, we're screwed" but I feel like this is the first winter that's really making me go "Oh we are so so screwed" like the fuck u mean it's supposed to be 10°C tomorrow?! Jan 15?! It should be so cold I feel my nose hairs freeze when I step outside.

climate change very bad very scary. yet one must admit that when a car slams into a pole three houses down at 2 am and knocks out the power for nine hours in mid-January, one becomes rather thankful that it is five degrees above freezing rather than the more seasonally appropriate twenty below. 😅

there are things i hate about where i live (mainly that if you want to have a social life your options are: have kids, be 70+, be religious, or get drunk/high all the time) but the fact that there are multiple directions in which i can drive for an hour or two and get to the ocean is so lovely
