An update on Route 100: Following community input, left turn exemptions are being pursued at Woodward / Holbrook and Caniff / Jos Campau. This will allow for safe operation of the routing within Hamtramck proposed in earlier SMARTer Mobility sessions. Launch slated for mid-2026.
A revised schematic map of Route 100 highlighting the connection to FAST Woodward at Grand, one block north of the Baltimore/Milwaukee stop outside the Amtrak station. Route 100 will now travel via Holbrook, Jos Campau, and Caniff in Hamtramck. The route intersects 20 DDOT routes as it travels from downtown Detroit to Bel Air Center at 8 Mile and Van Dyke.

Is it true! I opened up the @transit.app this morning and it looks like I could buy a DART bus pass for metro Detroit buses today!

This is a big step towards making it easier for people to buy passes for the bus in Detroit!

In Michigan in 2023, the state collected $1.5 billion in gas taxes and registration fees.

Meanwhile, Michigan is spending $4 billion to widen and rebuild 7 miles of highway.
